Formerly the main stake of the rivalry between the counts of Rodez “masters of the town” and the bishops of Rodez “masters of the city”, the city shelters a rich cultural and architectural heritage<\/strong> which testifies to its prestigious past.<\/p>\n

To realize it, just walk in the streets and alleys around the cathedral, around the place du Bourg and that of Olmet<\/strong>. Among the museums which make the fame of Aveyron, the Mus\u00e9e Soulages<\/strong> certainly deserves the visit for its very particular atmosphere and its outstanding architecture. <\/p>\n

We discover the work of the artist Pierre Soulages<\/strong>, father of the outrenoir and contemporary French artist among the most quoted on the international market. Exceptional collections of paintings, etchings, lithographs, serigraphs and sculptures are here superbly enhanced by skillful plays of light.<\/p>\n
